The One Way Street Poem

A poem I wrote about how facing difficulties and conflicts can lead to meaningful growth and changes.

When things go right, there is no fight

Nothing to prove, nothing to lose

It’s comfortable and often sought

But lacks the lessons we are taught

In conflict, there can be reward

Even if there’s no accord

Comfort zones are nice, but nothing grows there

And success doesn’t just fall from thin air

In trying for the things we seek

We start to be a little less weak

And training in the day or night

Start to go from wrong to right

So wherever you are and whoever you meet

Just know life’s not a one way street.
