I Long to See a World

I long to see a world where we all can come together

Not arguing, treating each other for the better

This is not a matter of color race or whatever

It’s just a common unity that will leave us never

This world of competition is causing more division

It’s like a grave error that never got any revision

How is it so hard today to make basic decisions?

I can and do talk about it, but who really listens?

The heart of the matter is it’s hard to be pure

When the very act of being pure is what we ignore

Consumption is necessary, we need to feel secure

This disease expands each day without a real cure

Look at all the isolation only for our wealth

Storing pointless treasures on the highest shelf

The only thing most care about is the increased wealth

But in the end, it’s gone my friend, just left with your self

So be your greatest treasure, let and let truth leave you never

That is how we end the lies that we need to sever

This is the only wealth that will stay forever

Finding our way through, we shall overcome the nether
