The Hardest Part Poem

Life’s hardest parts lie outside of our comfort
Always there no matter if we run from it
It jumps in front of you, a classic who done it
The game goes on we just don’t know who won it
Staying in our field is how we yield
To the power that we can surely wield
Afraid of difference, risking nothing
Seeking persistence, we’re just bluffing
By avoiding change, we blind our vision
Running off to battle without knowing the mission
So much education, but are we all the wiser?
That is not the case when we cannot decipher
The inherit wisdom that comes from a higher
Power be it God our be it nature’s fire
Can we toe the line to the end of the wire?
Be persistent, but take the unexpected
Who’s to decide if you’re accepted or rejected?
When we are all interconnected
We are one being underneath different skin
Forget the outside, for what matters is within
So, you say you want to take this path to win?
Now that’s the spirit, that’s the way it’s always been.
