Liberty and Justice...For Some

On that fateful night in the rain
A seventeen year old died in pain
Outside appearance weighs so heavy
But what lies within isn't necessary
When the time came to speak the truth
Trayvon was dead and Zimmerman aloof
Stand your ground won in the end
With our courts leaving much to amend
Self defense is cherished, but other rights not so
True liberty has perished a far long time ago
Give George back his beloved gun, he needs it after all
And Trayvon's life set anger rife, but who will hear this call?
