If one looked at my life, they’d be shook by the strife

But that’s just a part of why I’m so alive

My pain has taught me throughout the years

To be the one that will chew out my fears

So, I have these words for you all today

I hope you don’t listen, but feel what I say

Pop culture won’t care if you fall to decay

Read something, write something, live your own way

No two human beings are completely the same

Despite technologies trying to give us all one name

And ideologies that bring you into their game

When we use our uniqueness, we put them all to shame

Look at the structure of society around you

Like broken promises have finally found you

The elite can fix our infrastructure and economy

It’s like all of our leaders had a mass lobotomy

I say they can take their profit and burn it all to ash

That’s just what they’re doing with untaxed corporate cash

Overseas the money followed close behind the jobs

What deals are going on? Open those locked doorknobs

I criticize both parties equally

One and the same, I know how they are treating me

Just like I’m a piece of their machinery

It’s the same with the media

Following culture instead of academia

Bringing about a collective anemia

Don’t buy into the lies they are feeding ya

No more drone strikes that cannot be traced

No more media that has the truth erased

Enough of the cuts in our social spending

Enough of these wars which go on unending

We’ve seen so much in so short of a time

Things change faster than I can even rhyme

But don’t believe me go find out why for yourself

Just make sure you don’t get blinded by the wealth

Then one day you might realize in good health

That unless we act, we’re just dust on the shelf
