A Smile in the Darkness (Poem)

In life we have to bear our share of sorrow

Yet still we go and push on towards tomorrow

The chance to find the sunshine remains in every day

To banish all our sorrows and let joy in to stay

That feeling of enchantment when living life so full

Can carry on forever when we're in fortune's pull

In solitude and silence or in a noisy crowd

There's some things that bring sadness and things that make us proud

So seek those silver linings and if some rain should fall

Just find a single reason to smile at it all
