The Hardest Part Poem

Image
Life’s hardest parts lie outside of our comfort Always there no matter if we run from it It jumps in front of you, a classic who done it The game goes on we just don’t know who won it Staying in our field is how we yield          To the power that we can surely wield Afraid of difference, risking nothing Seeking persistence, we’re just bluffing By avoiding change, we blind our vision Running off to battle without knowing the mission So much education, but are we all the wiser? That is not the case when we cannot decipher The inherit wisdom that comes from a higher Power be it God our be it nature’s fire Can we toe the line to the end of the wire? Be persistent, but take the unexpected Who’s to decide if you’re accepted or rejected? When we are all interconnected We are one being underneath different skin Forget the outside, for what matters is within So, you say you want to take this path to win? Now ...

I Long to See a World Poem

I Long to See a World I long to see a world where we all can come together Not arguing, treating each other for the better This is not a matter of color race or whatever It’s just a common unity that will leave us never This world of competition is causing more division It’s like a grave error that never got any revision How is it so hard today to make basic decisions? I can and do talk about it, but who really listens? The heart of the matter is it’s hard to be pure When the very act of being pure is what we ignore Consumption is necessary, we need to feel secure This disease expands each day without a real cure Look at all the isolation only for our wealth Storing pointless treasures on the highest shelf The only thing most care about is the increased wealth But in the end, it’s gone my friend, just left with your self So be your greatest treasure, let and let truth leave you never That is how we end the lies that we need to sever This is th...

Irony of the Treatmet of Whistleblowers

While PFC Bradley Manning is being sentenced to 35 years in prison, after being subject to solitary confinement 23 hrs a day, reportedly being forced to strip naked, former President George W. Bush has a mega library constructed to his honor.  The mainstream media makes a big deal over Manning's actions, yet fails to even mention the perpetrators of the war crimes he exposed.  But when war crimes become legalized, those willing to defy it become marginalized.  George W. Bush invaded an eight-rate nation which did not pose a threat to our security, much less house the reported weapons of mass destruction.  Our own defense intelligence clearly revealed this, yet were ignored.  Was the war a victory?  That depends on who's asking.  If you're the bloated defense contractors and ever-growing mercenary armies, then yes, you make out well.  If you're the civilians of Iraq, exposed to permanent toxins of depleted uranium and supposedly illegal white phosp...

Max Keiser interviews Paul Craig Roberts "TPP Secret Trade Deal" and Environment

Really good look at the workings behind Trans Pacific Partnership.  We need objective information and public debates about this.  N.A.F.T.A and G.A.T.T. were rammed through congress without major public debate.

Trials Song

Just came up with a nice guitar rhythm to match my lyrics, possible You-Tube vid on the way  I try hard to be good and Not be misunderstood I know that this is for real I show that I’m here to heal When times become so heavy My life will always be ready I come to provide for plenty Help even my worst enemy This life is just a test To see how if I fare with the best My soul never finds its rest Until there is nothing left To achieve in this hungry world Not deceive a fake for a pearl Or how to judge the distance From the truth and just a glimpses In between all my struggles Life lures me from my troubles Keeps me from underneath ruble Lures me out of my bubble To see the world as it is Not through the eyes of show biz To understand with my heart Not let command tear apart All the joy that I hold Worth more than piles of gold Now I see I’m not sold To the barter of lies I’m told I will not sell myself Because I ...

Mind over Matter #Confidence #Perseverance

Image
The more experience I have in dealing with various struggles in life, I realize how more manageable they become when tackled with a clear and confident mind.  Driving for example, was high up on my list of distresses.  In all honesty, I was really afraid of it.  This led to me not focusing on other drivers and being less observant of surroundings.  It reached a point where my Dad said I should consider quitting altogether.  I recently signed up for private lessons, of which I'm paying for half.  I tried approaching driving with a new sense of confidence, which only increased as my instructor was pleased by my driving abilities.  With this renewed confidence came a new sense of care.  I actually started to enjoy driving, as former troubles began to fade.  Of course there is still much to be done as I don't yet have my license (18 with a learner's permit) and need to maintain what I've accomplished, but this is still a milestone from where a wa...

Manning's Aiding the Enemy Charge Dropped

As someone who strongly believes that Bradley Manning is a whistle blower who should be honored, I was glad to hear that his most serious charge of Aiding the enemy was dropped.  In today's ever-changing climate, we need those who dare to reveal insights even if it isn't convenient or practical to do so.  Journalist Jeremy Scahill serves this purpose as an in-depth reporter on America's foreign affairs.  Jeremy dedicated his international bestseller, Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army "For unembedded journalists, particularly Arab media workers, who risk and often lose their lives to be the eyes and ears of the world.  Without their courage and sacrifice, history would indeed be written by the self-declared victors, the rich, and the powerful."  Scahill's massive revelation, with 65 pages of documentation, is a testament to the work these journalists provide.  Without such effort to dig beneath the surface, there would be virt...

Proactive vs. Prescriptions #BigPharma #Nutrition

I just glanced through the most recent (August 2013) issue of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which contains a Position Paper on Functional foods.   One of the main points of the article was that as nutrition research has increased, so has “self-treatment”, in which people are using nutrient dense foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds) to treat diseases.   While I ‘m not advocating avoiding doctors whenever possible, people can help themselves a great deal by increasing the nutritional quality of their diets.   Most doctors only take one basic nutrition course in their college studies; as a result nutrition isn’t seen as a prescription in most offices.   There is also another key reason for this.   According to opensecrets.org, a site exposing the influences of lobbying, as for this year $117,495,102 came from the pharmaceutical/health products industry.   This puts big Pharma and associates far above any other industry i...
