Responsibility (Poem)

Throughout our lives, we’re called to action
Held accountable for all our faction
Our wills tested by how we react
The things we do, we can’t take back
History’s there for those who use it
As a guide, but many just don’t choose it
Trying to turn against reality
We form a cement mentality
Unwilling to bend at any cost
A narrow mind means all is lost
A flexible willow weathers the storm
But the solid oak is broken in form
Life has a current, so choose how to travel
Or else a torrent of storm may unravel
Whatever the case, the journey goes on
With choices to face and ideas to spawn
