The War Within

Life flashes by it's moments; what are you gonna choose?

Some are singing in the sunshine; others crying out the blues

It takes some difficulty to be the head and not the tail

Not all who wander are lost on their pioneering trail

Discipline equals freedom, but it's not just handed out

We rise to the occasion by facing fear and doubt

Enjoy the pleasant moments, but know there's more to come

The beat of life continues like a great eternal drum

As I chase out the dragons that are circling above

I find the needed power within a heart of love

So bring on all the conflict, the victory is won

Though the battle wages on under each new day's sun
