FOL (Foundation of Love) poem

Through all our pains as we seek what's above
One thing remains, the foundation of love
We all do our best with all that we've got
When put to the test, some are ready and some not
Heart over mind we push on through the storm
Bringing new meaning to what is the norm
Adversity meets us, standing in the way
Opportunity greets us as we work and play
I boast not of talents or physical might
But in the trials that set me aright
Thank God for your blessings, whatever they be
We all have the chance to obtain mercy
So stretch forth your hand from out of your glove
And show the whole world your foundation of love

My latest poem about moving an living away from home.  From the day that I left I knew it was for the best I learned a lot on my own Made efforts not to be alone Life’s had its share of ups and downs Setbacks, failures, turnarounds Yet through it all, hope shines on Brighter than the sun at dawn I know it’s not a perfect world Like one big mess in which we’re hurled So much need despite our wealth Much illness among our health And so I’m grateful for it all As I rise up from my fall There never was a better day Than the one that’s not thrown away
