Apology for our Ecology Poem



I know we need planetary reform
These super storms should not be the norm
While we deny global warming exists
Nature drags us to the abyss
Scientific evidence gone amiss
When we value corporate bliss
What’s the price on a field if you’re Monsanto?
Will we yield when the farmers can’t grow?
Ecological footprints are denied
Behind the veil of monetary pride
Kyoto accords don’t mix well with trade
It’s time to end this constant charade
The truth needs to shine over us like the sun
We know the price of it all but the value of none

My latest poem about moving an living away from home.  From the day that I left I knew it was for the best I learned a lot on my own Made efforts not to be alone Life’s had its share of ups and downs Setbacks, failures, turnarounds Yet through it all, hope shines on Brighter than the sun at dawn I know it’s not a perfect world Like one big mess in which we’re hurled So much need despite our wealth Much illness among our health And so I’m grateful for it all As I rise up from my fall There never was a better day Than the one that’s not thrown away
