Abondonmentality

People in need feel abandoned
Liberties are held for ransom
Cover up the ruin of greed
Promote interests over need
They don't care for people suffering
Congress acts like gangsters hustling
We prefer just not to know them
As they gut our food stamp programs
Funded by myopic lobbies
We lose from all their sick hobbies
Make deals hidden from the public
How we're dealt with is repugnant
I'm still waiting for the day
When this evil goes away
Replace a cutting of rations
With unending pure compassion
How to do this, look at history
So peace won't remain a mystery
Mix the cry of desperation
With ideas to help this nation
Reduce empire and it's excess
To help people in such distress
Warfare doesn't help our might
But it serves to blind our sight
Take away the blood lust mind
Leave self-indulgement behind
Treat all persons as our equal
Then we will start helping people
