TPP Poetry Slam

In terms of profits, the elite can keep it
There's a reason why the TPP is kept secret
It's not about trade, or else they'd release it
Now it is up to those who care to defeat it
This deal wont help trade among nations
It just expands the profits of corporations
What about the sweatshops in the third world?
Do you care your shirt's made by little girls?
Treated like slaves, it's quite a charade
How 500 lobbyists decide our fate
It's not funny, when you ditch the money
And find how our future once was sunny
This is not about liberal or conservative
It's telling truth to those who never heard of it
If we value our conscience, then let's decide
It doesn't matter if you are left or our right
This is a deal Obama's seeking to fast track
It's just that industries want more cash back
I buy American, support union made
All workers should get a fair wage
It's hard to do when big money is against you
All you have on your side is paper and a pencil
But my fingers keep writing like my spirit keeps fighting
Win the race against the money chase like Grease lightning
