The Call (Poem)

There's a call to do what's right
To scale the wall, and fight the fight
With open eyes and a trusting heart
We now realize what makes us smart
Yea, there's neglect for all to see...
But it's kept in check by honesty
History has been a guide
For those who use it to decide
Which path to take, or which to leave
What plan to make as we proceed
Time is there for all to use
Some take great care, others abuse
But nonetheless, a chance is given
For all to realize life's worth living

My latest poem about moving an living away from home.  From the day that I left I knew it was for the best I learned a lot on my own Made efforts not to be alone Life’s had its share of ups and downs Setbacks, failures, turnarounds Yet through it all, hope shines on Brighter than the sun at dawn I know it’s not a perfect world Like one big mess in which we’re hurled So much need despite our wealth Much illness among our health And so I’m grateful for it all As I rise up from my fall There never was a better day Than the one that’s not thrown away
