Ohh Oh Umpqua (poem)

Ohh oh Umpqua. Like the river she flows through my mind

Ohh oh Umpqua. Like these heartaches I'm leavin' behind

Twistin and a turnin, through all those rocks and trees

How she leaves me yearnin like a beggar on their knees

Back east was were it started, but the west is where it's at

I'm done being down hearted. I have laid my troubles flat

Ohh oh Umpqua. It's the water that brings life.

Ohh oh Umpqua. First a daughter then a wife.

Feel that magic, as it carries you away.

Like that rolling river, till it reaches its own bay.
