Day By Day (Poem)

Day by day, I find my way

Night by night, I'm sleeping tight

Holding dreams close to my heart

Will never let me fall apart

When grey skies hover overhead

I dream of blue skies in my bed

Morning calls and I respond

Give my best to work and beyond

Under the sun I'm just a man

Yet still on both my feet I stand

Though my dreams be tossed and blown

Onward I walk, never alone

My latest poem about moving an living away from home.  From the day that I left I knew it was for the best I learned a lot on my own Made efforts not to be alone Life’s had its share of ups and downs Setbacks, failures, turnarounds Yet through it all, hope shines on Brighter than the sun at dawn I know it’s not a perfect world Like one big mess in which we’re hurled So much need despite our wealth Much illness among our health And so I’m grateful for it all As I rise up from my fall There never was a better day Than the one that’s not thrown away
