Pencil To Paper Poem

 Putting pencil to paper and another line's formed

With thoughts and ideas my mind is swarmed

I've created a lot and lost a bit too

These interactions have created my view

I've been around the good and the bad

I've laughed and clowned when times became sad

Yet through stormy weather still I remain

Well put-together with a happy refrain

Pencil to paper, till words become life

Like a stenciled eraser I'll cut out the strife

My latest poem about moving an living away from home.  From the day that I left I knew it was for the best I learned a lot on my own Made efforts not to be alone Life’s had its share of ups and downs Setbacks, failures, turnarounds Yet through it all, hope shines on Brighter than the sun at dawn I know it’s not a perfect world Like one big mess in which we’re hurled So much need despite our wealth Much illness among our health And so I’m grateful for it all As I rise up from my fall There never was a better day Than the one that’s not thrown away
