Strangers from Afar Poem

Strangers from Afar
Down the winding path we walk straight on through the night.
On our way we start to talk beneath the pale moonlight.
“I’m not sure if we’re wanted here” I said to my friend John.
“Joe, there’s nothing to fear, we’re right where we belong.”
This is a foreign place and we both knew at first look.
I’m starting to feel trapped like a fish stuck on a hook.
John and I on this strange path are strangers from afar.
Looking up at the night sky, we follow the north-star.
We continue on our journey, although I’m not sure why.
Right now it’s just John and I under the starry sky.
