Bond of Two

A special poem for Mom on Mother's Day.

Bond of Two
Some say I am intelligent, and many say I’m kind.
But, I would never be these things if you left me behind.
People say I’m caring, with a good head and big heart.
But, I couldn’t live up to this, were you and I to part.
Our bond must remain solid, never to be broken.
It carries great meaning, more than any word that’s spoken.
If I were to discard your ways, it’d be to no avail.
For I’d realize, you’re my great prize, that helps me when I fail.
On this special day for you, and many loving others;
I cannot say we’d be ok, were it not for such great mothers.
