Book Review: The Iron Heel by Jack London
Jack London isn't shy about exposing his political views in this intense novel about the ever-going struggle between the working class and nobility. In this epic contest, the two sides battle out their religious, political and social differences verbally, politically and physically; as this Penguin Classics edition cover may reveal. The main character, Ernest Everhard seeks to gather the masses in their quest to take the power from the elite, and distribute it to the oppressed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, but it got a little too carried away in the war towards the end.
