Book Review: Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The main character or the "Underground Man" seeks to find purpose in nineteenth century life. He is "Neither hero nor villian, scoundrel nor honest man",yet he still has insightful, witty, and humerous comments about life. In his effort to exact revenge on some men, he ties himself up in a complicated maze and desperately tries to right his numerous wrongs. I got a good laugh out of this book as well as a healthy dose of insight.
