The Fear Lies Within You 

The fear lies within you, it’s always there.
Blowing like smoke in the ever-cold air.
Relax, people tell you, it’s not even real.
The very opposite of how you feel.
Uncertainty is leading to strife.
We’re always learning but can’t understand life.
Hysteria preys on its distraught victims.
The ominous silence all around just sickens.
In a time of distress we search for hope.
Security resembles a thin tight rope.
Make your move now before you can’t.
Running so fast, everyone can hear you pant.
The light in the dark, you see it’s right there.
Escaping away from your own nightmare.
